Commercial Head of Operations

Chase Taylor Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial glazing specialist for an experienced Commercial Head of Operations.<br />This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused operations leader to join a successful and growing business, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the commercial operations function.<br />Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee project delivery, manage operational teams, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in developing new business opportunities and supporting the company's continued growth.<br />Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial operations team across multiple projects.
• Oversee projects from contract award through to completion.
• Manage and support Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Surveyors, and Installation teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Drive operational performance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Seek out new business opportunities to support the continued growth of the business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
• Conduct sales surveys for refurbishment and commercial glazing projects, identifying customer requirements and opportunities.
• Work closely with estimating, commercial, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and design teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Collaborate with the marketing department to support business development initiatives and growth strategies.
• Ensure the successful conversion of quotations into secured orders through effective client engagement and follow-up.
• Monitor project performance, operational budgets, and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with Health &amp; Safety legislation and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and profitability.<br />About You<br />The successful candidate will have:
• Previous experience in a senior operations management, contracts management, or business development role within the commercial glazing, façade, curtain walling, aluminium windows and doors, or wider construction industry.
• A proven track record of delivering commercial projects while driving business growth.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Experience building long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.<br />Benefits
