We are now building our next service line: Organic Growth. And we are looking for the person who will own it.

About the Role

This is a builder role, not a caretaker role. As Lead - Organic Growth, you will create, sell, and scale Propel's SEO + AEO service line for US healthcare brands from the ground up: the playbooks, the processes, the client results, and eventually the team.

Search is changing fast. Patients no longer just Google their symptoms; they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews. Healthcare brands that win the next five years will be the ones cited by both search engines and LLMs. You will make that happen for our clients, and for Propel itself: a small but meaningful part of your charter is driving Propel's own organic and AI-search visibility.

What You Will Own

Build the Organic Growth service line (Primary Charter)

• Design Propel's SEO + AEO offering end to end: positioning, packaging, delivery playbooks, reporting frameworks, and pricing inputs
• Lead organic growth engagements for US healthcare brands as the senior strategist and accountable owner of client results
• Run technical SEO, content strategy, on-page and off-page programs tailored to regulated healthcare categories
• Build Propel's AEO / GEO practice: answer engine optimization, LLM citation strategy, structured data, entity building, and content formats that get brands referenced by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews
• Partner with our lifecycle and analytics teams so organic growth connects to retention and revenue, not just traffic
• Define what great looks like: dashboards, case studies, and proof points that make this service line sellable
• Hire and mentor the team as the service line scales

Drive Propel's own organic growth (Secondary Charter)

• Own SEO and AEO for trypropel.ai: rankings, AI-search citations, and inbound pipeline from organic
• Work with our content and brand team to turn Propel's expertise into compounding organic visibility

What We Are Looking For

• 6+ years in an agency environment managing healthcare brands and accounts, ideally US-facing
• Deep SEO expertise with proven, attributable client results: rankings, organic revenue, and pipeline you can walk us through
• Hands-on knowledge of AEO / GEO and the emerging LLM search landscape, with proven client results in AI visibility (citations, AI Overview presence, share of voice in answer engines)
• Strong grasp of growth fundamentals paired with compliant, clinical copywriting judgment: you know what can and cannot be claimed in healthcare content, and how to make compliant content still convert
• Comfort operating as a service line owner: client-facing, commercially aware, and able to build systems others can run
• Fluency with the modern SEO / AEO toolkit (GSC, Ahrefs or Semrush, screaming crawlers, schema, LLM visibility tools) and an experimental mindset toward what is changing

Bonus Points

• Experience with telehealth, DTC Rx, supplements, or other regulated health categories
• You have published or spoken about AEO, LLM search, or healthcare SEO
• You have used AI tools to scale content and technical workflows without sacrificing quality
