Mainframe CICS System Admin SME Level

As a Mainframe CICS System Admin you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world. There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Engineer with 15 Plus years of experience in CICS systems programming.
• Basic Knowledge on the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products
• Experience in CICS transaction server, related ISV products.
• As a Subject matter expert provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, and implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related ISV products.
• Capable of Upgrading/Installing and Migrating CICS Transaction servers.
• Diagnose CICS system and related product issues and follow up with root cause analysis.
• Capable of Upgrading /Installing and supporting IBM & ISV related Products Proficient in technologies like P2V, V2V and P2P migrations
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a IT related field or equivalent work experience
• Banking or financial services industry experience
• Knowledge of Assembler, COBOL, CICS, and DB2
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Participate in on-call rotation with the engineering teams.
• The ability to follow a project through to completion, and/or to work as part of a larger team to complete the components of a complex project
