Key Responsibilities:

Planning and conducting technical studies into missile performance, using complex mathematical models, to help the project understand key system design choices

Developing a good understanding of how the wider system affects performance and the knock-on impacts of changes to the design

Working with SMEs in Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Lethality, Guidance, Control & Navigation, Seekers (and others) to understand how each of these contribute to system performance

Reporting performance data in a clear and concise way in internal design reviews and external performance statements to customers

Using your expertise to help develop training material for new engineers

The ideal candidate would have:

Enthusiasm for the use of mathematical models to assess system behaviour

Experience with data analysis using MATLAB and Simulink (or similar)

Skill in capturing and presenting technical data clearly for expert and non-expert audiences

Exposure to the physical principles of aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance and control

The ideal candidate must have:

Excellent analytical skills

Experience in running and analysing complex computer simulations (e.g. 6 Degrees of Freedom models)

Competence with MATLAB

This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not limited to:

Company bonus scheme, based on company performance

Strong employer pension contribution

Opportunity for paid overtime

Generous flexi leave allowance, with additional days available
