Contract Marine Engineer - Fit Out Location: Isle of Wight<br />Contract Type: Contract<br />Rate: DOE<br />Duration: Ongoing contract opportunity Marine Resources are currently recruiting for a Contract Marine Engineer to support a busy vessel fit out programme on the Isle of Wight.

This is a hands-on engineering position working as part of a skilled build team carrying out the installation, alignment and commissioning of propulsion and onboard systems on vessels.

Key Responsibilities<br />Installation and fit out of marine propulsion systems<br />Installation and commissioning of dual systems<br />Engine installation and alignment<br />Shaft installation and alignment<br />Propeller installation and set up<br />Mechanical fit out of vessel systems and associated equipment<br />Supporting commissioning and sea trial activities where required<br />Working from engineering drawings and technical documentation<br />Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the build processSuitable Experience<br />Previous experience as a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Fit Out Engineer within boat building or marine refit environments<br />Strong understanding of propulsion systems and drivetrain installation<br />Experience installing and aligning engines, shafts and propellers<br />Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications<br />Experience with commercial vessels, workboats or leisure craft would be advantageous<br />Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project teamWhat's on Offer<br />Immediate start available<br />Interesting and varied project work<br />Opportunity to work on high-quality vessel builds<br />Long-term contract potential for the right individual<br />Competitive hourly rates available via LTD company or umbrella Marine Resources Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent and fixed term contract recruitment and as a recruitment business for the supply of contract workers.
