Job Description

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded organisation to recruit a Head of FP&A.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified finance leader to join a complex and evolving organisation at a pivotal stage in its development. Leading a commercial finance team and reporting directly to the Board, you will play a key strategic role in shaping financial planning, forecasting, business partnering, and performance management capabilities.

Duties Include:

  • Leading the development and continuous improvement of the organisation's financial planning framework, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial projections.
  • Establishing organisation-wide planning methodologies, financial modelling standards, and performance management frameworks.
  • Providing strategic oversight of management information and financial performance reporting.
  • Leading the financial evaluation of major investments, growth initiatives, partnerships, and commercial opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models including scenario planning, investment appraisals, and sustainability assessments.
  • Supporting the continued development of forecasting, planning, and reporting capabilities across the organisation.
  • Providing expert financial challenge, support, and guidance to senior stakeholders.
  • Preparing and presenting reports, business cases, financial models, and strategic analyses for executive and governance forums.
  • Translating complex financial information into clear recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the Finance Business Partnering team.
  • Building strong relationships with senior leaders across multiple business functions.
  • Supporting strategic resource allocation and organisational decision-making.
  • Leading forecasting and financial sustainability assessments.
  • Driving continuous improvement across financial planning and business partnering activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Significant experience leading financial planning, forecasting, FP&A, or business partnering functions within a complex organisation.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong experience producing management reporting and financial insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting strategic decision-making at Executive, Board, or Committee level.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
  • Experience driving process improvements and enhancing financial planning capabilities.

Salary & Benefits:
