The role
This is a high-impact IC role reporting directly to our CEO. You'll own features end-to-end and be our internal expert on using AI and automation to raise both delivery speed and code quality. Not a management role, but one with real influence across the organisation.

What you'll do

• Champion AI-assisted development tools with a clear-eyed view of where they help and where they introduce risk
  
• Identify bottlenecks in delivery and implement automation that makes the whole team faster
  
• Set and uphold engineering standards code quality, testing, CI/CD, architecture
  
• Partner closely with Product to challenge and sharpen requirements before they hit the backlog
  

What we're looking for

• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and Java/Kotlin NestJS, React, PostgreSQL or MongoDB (Not all required)
  
• Hands-on with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and modern CI/CD
  
• A genuine, practical understanding of AI coding tools and their limits
  
• Experience in regulated or fintech environments is a bonus, not a barrier
