Job Description

Tyabb Campus - Part Time (0.4-0.6 FTE)

Part time, fixed term position (Semester2, 2026) with a possibility of ongoing employment. Salary: $67,306-$72,354 + super (annual full time equivalent); pro rata (0.4-0.6FTE, incl. 10weeks leave): $23,826-$38,420. Commencing Term3,2026. The role is for candidates with a strong commitment to Christian education.

About the Position

Design and Technology Assistant responsibilities:

  • Assist and support teachers in the Art, Design and Technology Department with lesson preparation.
  • Assist in promoting the department through various activities.
  • Assist and provide support to teachers in the subjects Art, Textiles and Food.
  • Assist in the subject Design and Technology: Wood.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience and/or qualifications in relevant trade areas such as Design and Technology, Wood, Textiles, Photography, Digital Photography, Visual Communication Design, Art and Studio Arts.
  • Strong interest and some knowledge in Art, Design and Technology.
  • Experience with computers and Adobe programs preferred.
  • Experience within a secondary school environment advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of wood preparation, static machinery and general 3D construction.
  • Experience mounting, framing and presenting artwork for display.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
  • Right to work in Australia and current Working with Children Check.
