Your opportunity

As CloudOps Engineer - GCP, you will play a key role in the operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of Scentre Group's Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


You'll ensure our cloud platforms are stable, secure and efficient, while driving automation, standardisation and self-service capabilities across engineeing, data, integration and analytics teams.


What you'll be doing

  • Operate, maintain and improve GCP-based cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance and security

  • Manage core services including networking, IAM, Kubernetes (GKE), storage and data platforms

  • Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable serlf-service

  • Monitor platform health, reliability, capacity and cost, proactively addressing risk

  • Support and scale Kubernetes environments (GKE/Rancher) across the platform lifecycle

  • Drive cloud governance, security and cost optimisation uplift

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents and platform issues (including on-call support)

  • Collaborate with engineering, data and vendor teams to deliver continuous platform improvements


What you'll bring

We're looking for a hands on CloudOps engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform and experience operating at enterprise scale.



  • Proven experience with GCP, including networking (VPC), IAM, Kubernetes (GKE) and core cloud services

  • Strong hands on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, delivering automated, scalable platforms

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps toolchains (e.g. GitHub, Buildkite, ArgoCD, Atlantis)

  • Solid understanding of cloud security, networking and cost optimisation practices

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Monitoring)

  • Exposure to data and analytics platforms on GCP (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
