The Role • Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers for precise container and chassis positioning within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and organization. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and movements. • Adhere to established protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory. • Prior experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • A strong commitment to safety and exceptional attention to detail are essential. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift up to 50lbs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, with open availability. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
