The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient yard operations.
• Perform daily pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements and task execution.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
• Play a critical role in the timely and safe movement of freight within the intermodal yard.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Open availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
