The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and organization. • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • Valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to maintain open availability, including shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety and keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
