Cyber Security Awareness Manager - Paying up to £500 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in Sheffield, Hybrid Working (On site 3 days per week), Initial contract until November, To Start ASAP
Your new role
We're supporting a major organisation investing heavily in its Technology and Cyber Security capabilities and are looking for an experienced Technical Cyber Education & Awareness Manager to help drive a security-first culture across a large technical workforce.
This role will focus on designing and delivering engaging cyber education programmes for developers, engineers and architects, helping technical teams build secure solutions, reduce risk and improve cyber resilience. Working closely with security, engineering and technology stakeholders, you'll use data and insights to shape learning initiatives and measure their real world impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evolve cybersecurity education and awareness programmes for technical audiences
- Design and deliver security training for developers, engineers, architects and other technical teams
- Partner with Application Security, DevSecOps, IAM and other cyber functions to identify skills gaps and learning opportunities
- Use data, incident trends and vulnerability insights to develop targeted education initiatives
- Measure programme effectiveness and demonstrate impact through improved security outcomes
- Collaborate with engineering and technology teams to embed secure development practices and a security first mindset
- Evaluate and pilot new learning tools, platforms and third-party training providers
- Support wider cyber transformation and culture change initiatives across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong background in Cyber Security, ideally within Application Security, DevSecOps, Secure Development or Identity & Access Management
- Experience delivering training, awareness, enablement, change or transformation programmes for technical audiences
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, software vulnerabilities and engineering environments
- Data driven approach with experience measuring engagement, behavioural change and risk reduction
- Experience working with learning platforms or third-party training providers would be advantageous
