Ashton Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading cash management and security services provider operating throughout the UK and Ireland. Job title: Field Service Engineer Location: Belfast / Mallusk / Northern Ireland Pay Rate: £14.63 per hour + Overtime Available + Company Vehicle & Fuel Card Provided Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday - Sunday rota, Overtime available as required. Job Type: Permanent Position Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their engineering team supporting customers across Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and delivering a high level of customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning ATM equipment across a range of customer sites. What's in it for you? £14.63 per hour Overtime opportunities available at an enhanced rate (£15.51) Company vehicle provided Fuel card provided for business mileage Company pension scheme (subject to eligibility) 20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays Long-term career progression opportunities Work for a growing and well-established organisation The Role Reporting directly to the ATM Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining ATM equipment and ensuring customer sites remain fully operational. Duties will include: Diagnosing and repairing ATM faults and equipment failures Carrying out ATM installations, commissioning, and decommissioning work Travelling throughout Northern Ireland to customer locations Using diagnostic equipment and testing tools to identify faults Completing preventative maintenance activities to maximise ATM uptime Maintaining accurate service records and documentation Installing and removing ATM signage when required Following company procedures, security protocols, and Health & Safety requirements Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times Essential Criteria Previous ATM engineering experience is preferred but not essential. Applicants are required to have a background in other relevant engineering disciplines for this role. Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Basic electrical knowledge Experience using testing equipment such as multimeters preferred Good IT skills and confidence using diagnostic systems Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Flexibility to work additional hours when required Personal Attributes High attention to detail Reliable and self-motivated Strong problem-solving skills Calm and professional under pressure Excellent customer service skills Ability to work within strict operational and security procedures Physical Requirements This role involves manual handling and lifting of ATM equipment and components. Candidates must be comfortable carrying out physically demanding tasks and working independently across multiple locations.
