Job Description

The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst with expertise in Manual and Automation Testing to support enterprise applications serving Human Services and Healthcare programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional, regression, API, database, and automation testing within Agile environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of QA testing experience
• Strong Manual & Automation Testing experience
• Selenium, TestNG, Java
• REST API & SOAP Web Services Testing
• Postman
• SQL for backend validation
• Salesforce application testing
• Mobile & Progressive Web Application (PWA) testing
• Functional, Regression, Integration, SIT, UAT & End-to-End Testing
• Agile/Scrum methodology
• Jira for defect tracking
• Test Planning, Test Cases, RTM, Defect Management
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Preferred Experience

• Connecticut DSS or State Government projects
• Human Services (HHS)
• Medicaid / Medicare
• Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES)
• SNAP, TANF, LTSS
• Healthcare Payer or Benefits Administration
• Public Sector modernization initiatives

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Create automation scripts using Selenium and TestNG.
• Validate APIs using Postman and backend data using SQL.
• Log, track, and verify defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders.
• Support release validation and production deployments.
• Maintain test plans, test scenarios, RTM, and QA documentation.
