This role is to lead the marketing team, telesales team and have a light touch management role of the 8 ERP sales team.

An established, UK-owned and UK-run ERP software author is recruiting a Marketing Manager to help drive new business growth.

Salary: £60,000-£80,000 + £20,000 bonus

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in a lovely office near Nottingham

ERP software Author has about 100 staff, a substantial customer base and strong recurring support revenue. Its software serves manufacturing and field service businesses, covering finance, distribution, mobile applications and business intelligence.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for:

  • Marketing strategy and budget: setting the direction and investing in activities that generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Campaign delivery: managing PPC, SEO, social media, promotions and outbound lead generation.
  • Events: organising exhibitions, product showcases and customer user groups.
  • Lead generation: managing four telesales and lead generation staff, improving prospecting, follow-up and qualification.
  • Sales coordination: supporting eight new business salespeople and account managers with lead follow-up, pipeline visibility and day-to-day administration.

You'll work closely with an experienced, long-serving sales team to understand which campaigns convert and refine activity accordingly. Sales performance management, salary negotiations and sales motivation remain with the MD.

We're looking for someone with software marketing experience, ideally within ERP, who understands software licensing and professional services implementation projects. You'll need a commercial approach, strong organisational skills and experience turning marketing activity into quality sales leads.
