Section 508 Accessibility Analyst

As a Section 508 Accessibility Analyst, you will join a team responsible for evaluating the accessibility of customer websites, mobile applications, and other information and communication technology (ICT). Responsibilities include scoping accessibility reviews, conducting testing, documenting and reporting findings, providing detailed accessibility analyses and recommendations, and remediating electronic documents.

Skills/Education desired:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, computer science, Information Technology or related field (preferred), or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Proficiency in web accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1, Section 508)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

1+ years of experience performing automated and manual accessibility testing and reporting

1+ years of experience using screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, Talkback, and others.

1+ year remediating electronic documents for accessibility

Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester 5.0 certification (required)

Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) (preferred)

Job duties may include:

Perform a combination of automated and manual accessibility tests on websites, web-based applications, electronic documents, mobile apps and other ICT.

Remediate inaccessible electronic documents.

Learn, understand, and stay current with accessibility guidelines (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Section 508, and Accessibility Conformance Testing rules).

Build and maintain competency with screen readers and other assistive technology to perform usability testing.

Work concurrently on multiple projects and balance competing deadlines in an agile environment.
