Senior Project Manager

Role: Senior Project Manager

Location: Glasgow

Mint Selection are partnered with a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across the UK.

We are looking to speak with Project Managers who have a proven track record of delivering utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects from inception through to completion. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed projects through the full lifecycle, from design and procurement through to construction, commissioning, energisation and final handover.

Scope of Work

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring works are completed on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Take full responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning, energisation and final handover.

• Manage multidisciplinary project teams including Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Planning, HSEQ and Commissioning functions.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, DNOs, National Grid, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee project planning, procurement, programme management, commercial performance, risk management and change control.

• Ensure all works comply with HSEQ requirements, engineering standards, contractual obligations and industry best practice.

• Chair project progress meetings, providing regular updates on programme, commercial performance, risks and key milestones.

• Identify and resolve technical, commercial and programme issues to ensure successful project delivery.

• Work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure a smooth transition through energisation and project handover.

Experience to be Considered

• Proven experience delivering utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects as a Project Manager.

• Demonstrable experience delivering projects from cradle to grave, taking ownership throughout the full project lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of project delivery, including design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, energisation and handover.

• Experience managing project budgets, programmes, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Knowledge of grid connection processes, DNO interfaces and utility-scale renewable energy projects would be advantageous.

• Experience administering NEC and/or FIDIC contracts is desirable.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across clients, contractors, consultants and the wider supply chain.

• A proactive, commercially aware and delivery-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities within complex project environments.
