Essential Duties and responsibilities
As a Data Center Technician, you will handle hardware installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a data center environment. This includes tasks like rack and stack equipment, cable management, hardware diagnostics, and minor repairs. You may also assist in larger projects and document procedures.

• Core Duties:

  • Hardware Installation and Decommissioning:

  • This includes physically installing, configuring, and decommissioning servers, network devices, and other data center equipment

• Troubleshooting and Repair:

  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and networking issues, performing component-level repairs, and potentially handling basic software issues

• Rack and Stack:

  • Mounting, connecting, and configuring racks, ensuring correct cabling and power connections.

• Cable Management:

  • Installing, labeling, and troubleshooting fiber, copper, and other cabling infrastructure

• Documentation:

  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

• Inventory:

  • Managing inventory of hardware components, ordering replacements, and handling returns.
