Business Analyst

Business Analyst (Contract) - London (Hybrid) | Inside IR35

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months
Rate: Up to £540 per day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major business and technology transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a contractor who enjoys working with both business and technical stakeholders, driving requirements, improving processes, and supporting the successful delivery of complex change initiatives within an Agile environment.

You'll play a key role in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements while working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Test Teams, and Project Managers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, validate, and document business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture current and future-state processes.
• Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and business cases.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, Test Teams, and Project Managers throughout the delivery life cycle.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and solution validation.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress effectively.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, governance, and compliance requirements.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
• Experience producing user stories, business requirements documents, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Experience supporting testing, business readiness, and implementation activities.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
