Java Developer

Java Developer Telford / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite 6 months Up to £450 per day inside ir35 BPSS / SC eligible Are you an experienced Java Developer looking to work on large-scale, business-critical enterprise applications?

We're looking for a talented developer to join a collaborative team supporting and enhancing a suite of internal applications within a complex enterprise environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining live services, supporting batch processing, and delivering high-quality enhancements while ensuring system stability and performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing production support with ongoing development and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing Developing, maintaining and enhancing enterprise Java applications.<br />Supporting live production services and resolving technical issues.<br />Working with Oracle databases, writing and optimising SQL queries.<br />Deploying and supporting applications running on WebLogic.<br />Managing code using Git and Maven within controlled release processes.<br />Working with containerised applications deployed on Kubernetes.<br />Collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

What we're looking for Strong commercial experience developing Java applications in enterprise environments.<br />Experience supporting live production systems.<br />Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic.<br />Strong Oracle SQL knowledge.<br />Experience using Git and Maven.<br />Experience working with Kubernetes and containerised applications.<br />A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.<br />Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile team.

Desirable Experience with Shell scripting.<br />Linux command line experience.<br />Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance
