Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Salzwedel, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading player in the energy infrastructure sector, actively contributing to the success of the energy transition through the development and modernization of critical substations. This organization is known for its commitment to innovation and its significant role in shaping a sustainable energy future across Northeast Germany. The Role • Lead the commissioning of medium, high, and extra-high voltage substation projects, including those for renewable energy sources. • Analyze and resolve faults within protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams to drive improvements. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Utilize state-of-the-art testing equipment to precisely commission digital protection and control technology. • Collaborate effectively with project management, planning, and assembly teams, fostering a strong sense of teamwork. • Actively participate in energy transition projects by supporting clients in power transmission, distribution, and grid connections for industrial and renewable energy parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven experience and knowledge in protection/control technology, ideally with independent commissioning of switchgear according to common communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1, and testing software like OMICROM TestUniverse is advantageous. • Strong teamwork, responsibility, decision-making, and communication skills. • A valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel (typically Monday-Thursday) within the Northeast German region. • Excellent command of the German language and a professional demeanor when interacting with internal teams and clients.
