Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

The Role

An opportunity for an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join a growing service team, responsible for the maintenance, repair and breakdown response of lifts, escalators and moving walkways within a designated area. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, emergency callouts and ensuring all equipment remains safe, compliant and operational while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on lifts, escalators and moving walkways.
  • Attend breakdowns, emergency callouts and passenger entrapments, restoring equipment to service safely.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults.
  • Complete repairs, component replacements and minor modernisation works.
  • Carry out safety inspections and functional testing in line with EN 81-20/50 and relevant legislation.
  • Complete digital service reports and maintenance records.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide technical advice where required.
  • Participate in the stand-by and night call rota.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and spare parts stock.
  • Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Lift Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience servicing and repairing lifts.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working with PLC and microprocessor-controlled lift systems.
  • Good IT skills, including use of mobile service applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
