Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer - Electrical Engineer
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Electrical Engineer to work on Controls and Instrumentation within a friendly and busy on-site team for a treatment plant based in Fawley, Hampshire.
Introduction
The primary role of the Electrical Engineer, will be to perform electrical controls and instrumentation maintenance support to the sites Operations and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- To provide E, C & I support across the site
- To conduct planned preventative maintenance in accordance with PPM schedule.
- To perform all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the companys policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment.
- To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency.
- Assist in detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods.
- Advise management of safety issues.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments for routine and defect maintenance tasks as required.
- Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plants performance.
Ideal / Desirable Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in industrial environment, revolving around Electrical and/ or C & I installation, testing, inspecting & calibration.
- Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
- PC literate, and capable of learning how to use new software systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A minimum of 18th edition or NVQ equivalent and experience of maintaining industrial installations and equipment.
- Good knowledge of Instrumentation & process controls including PLCs.
Desirable Skills:
- COMPEX 01 to 04 preferable but not essential as training will be given to the right candidate
- Experience with working in a Hazardous Area Environment.
- Waste management experience.
- Continuous processing Plant experience
- Recognised Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
Salary - £40,000 - £45000 (including bonuses)
Hours: Day Shift Monday to Friday
