Wholesaler - Senior BA / Implementation Lead

A UK success story, this wholesale business has grown to a £150m revenue business with circa 50 people. Run by two ambitious entrepreneurs, the business buys globally and sells on to leading retailers, with a key segment in beauty and fragrance.

The business is run on a number of manual processes, with little joined-up technology in place to connect wholesale, operational and finance processes.

We are looking for a motivated and confident consultant that can take the founders on a journey with their business, culminating in selecting and implementing new technology that will take it to the next level.

They will:

1. Map out end to end processes across the whole business to understand the current picture including end to end wholesale processes, warehouse processes, buying, selling, payments, supplier management and finance / operations
2. Suggest what the key challenges are for the business
3. Identify a technology partner / piece of technology that can help to automate/transform/bring structure to the company
4. Run an RFP / beauty parade with the various firms interested in pitching for the work
5. Select the partner and then run the implementation end to end

We're looking for someone who:

a) Understands this type of wholesale business and the processes and pressures in this space

b) Has a wealth of experience taking clients on a journey from start to finish, especially in the start-up/small business segment (this is a £150m revenue business with 50 people)

c) Can equally act as a Senior BA, consultant and programme lead/implementer; well rounded skills

d) Consulting background would help, though not a prerequisite

e) Can work on-site 4-5 days/week - this is a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment

f) Enjoys getting things done and putting in a shift when the chips are down! There will not be a dull day here.

This is at least 12 months of work. The client is likely to work on a rolling 3 month contract or something to this effect.
