Test Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY (Remote). The ideal candidatewill drive quality engineering strategy and execution across complex data initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery through ETL/ELT validation, Snowflake SQL testing, API testing, automation, and production release support.

Rate Range: $46/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Test Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead quality engineering strategy and testing execution for large-scale data platform and data warehouse initiatives.
• Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data quality to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability across systems.
• Perform advanced SQL testing in Snowflake and conduct API testing to verify data integrity and end-to-end functionality.
• Coordinate test planning, defect management, release validation, and production support activities across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks, CI/CD testing processes, and quality assurance best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to identify risks, track quality metrics, and ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Data Testing, Data Warehouse Testing, or ETL/ELT Validation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Advanced SQL (Snowflake preferred), Data Warehouse Testing, ETL/ELT Validation, API Testing, Linux/Shell scripting, and AWS environments.
• Proven experience leading quality engineering efforts for large-scale data platforms, including test strategy, automation, defect management, release validation, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.

Pay Details: $46.00 to $60.00 per hour
