Job description

At FSB Architects + Engineers, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, technology plays an essential role in how our architecture and engineering teams collaborate, solve problems, and deliver successful projects. Our IT team supports the systems, infrastructure, and resources that keep our employees connected, secure, and productive.

We're seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain, secure, and improve our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and related hardware and software. This role combines daily system administration with technical troubleshooting, process improvement, and support for infrastructure upgrades and technology initiatives.

This position works directly with the architects, engineers, and business teams who rely on these systems every day. Through improvements to endpoint management, automation of routine tasks, and stronger infrastructure, the role offers opportunities to solve practical challenges and help shape how technology supports the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Windows servers, user and group accounts, security permissions, Group Policy, and print services; troubleshoot event log warnings and errors.
  • Manage and maintain SCCM infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrades, and use Intune to support endpoint management.
  • Monitor datacenter and system health, performance, and capacity; resolve hardware issues and build, test, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, storage, laptops, desktops, printers, and phones; apply security updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Partner with the help desk, end users, and other IT teams to resolve escalated issues, identify root causes, and provide technical guidance.
  • Conduct scheduled system and backup audits; implement and document failover configurations, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity solutions.
  • Improve administrative processes and use scripting or automation to increase efficiency, consistency, and reliability.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations; research and test hardware and software and recommend improvements to IT leadership.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support; maintain IT asset records and assist with technology lifecycle planning.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and hardware and software requirements; support IT policy enforcement, security best practices, and compliance with applicable industry standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of systems administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience administering Windows environments, physical and virtual servers, and corporate network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS.
  • Relevant Microsoft, networking, or virtualization certifications preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SCCM and Intune; strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DFS, IIS, DHCP, and Group Policy Management.
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V and knowledge of firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless systems.
  • Knowledge of endpoint protection, vulnerability management, backup and recovery solutions, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell or another scripting language for administrative automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal technical instructions in English.
  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks, particularly NIST SP 800-171 requirements supporting CMMC readiness is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Zscaler security solutions is strongly preferred.

Work Arrangement & Travel

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City, OK supporting employees and project teams across the organization.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, project support, or team collaboration.
