Job Description
DRPT is seeking a Grants Management Contractor and Implementation Specialist to provide guidance and hands-on support in the design and implementation of grant management systems, business processes, industry best practices, and software solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Provide strong expertise and guidance in order to support DRPT in implementing a pilot Grant Management platform with the aim of migrating all grant activity into the new platform early next calendar year.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in grant management practices and federal uniform guidance standards.
• Work with dedicated SMEs to assess current work processes as they relate to the entire grant life cycle and illustrate how to best integrate those processes into the software platform.
• Develop and implement processes within grants management software.
• Assess and advise the agency on common/best practices and identify operational efficiencies as they relate to grant applications, review, and contract agreements.
• Assess and advise the agency on common/best practices as they relate to paying grantee invoices (claims), grant accounting, and reporting, and how to best capture these practices using software platforms.
• Assess and advise the agency on monitoring grant expenditures (including identifying inactivity), and the grant close-out/de-programming process.
• Work closely with DRPT staff and system vendors to improve workflows and processes.
• Develop materials to support system changes, policy and procedure changes, training, etc. (including developing process workflow diagrams and field dictionaries).
• Document all decision points and obtain approvals.
• Update and/or provide oversight with developing policies and procedures on revised workflows.
• Provide weekly status updates and communicate issues and/or risks identified.
