ITTConnect is seeking a senior Confluent Kafka/Java Engineer to work on site for a client in the Columbus, OH area. This is a contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities sector.

We areseeking a Senior Kafka / Java Developer to support real-time datastreaming initiatives. This role requires deep hands-on experience withthe Confluent Kafka platform along with strong Java/Springboot development skills to build microservices, connectors, and streamingworkflows.

Theideal candidate is not just familiar with Kafka but has actively builtand operated event-driven systems at scale.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Develop Kafkaproducers, consumers, and stream-processing solutions.
• AdministerKafka clusters, topics, brokers, consumer groups, and connectors.
• Deploy andmanage Kafka Connect integrations.
• ConfigureSchema Registry, ACLs, RBAC, TLS, and platform security controls.
• Develop customconnectors using Java and Spring Boot.
• Buildautomated deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Deploy Kafkaworkloads to OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Monitorplatform health using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
• Support CDCintegrations using Oracle GoldenGate and Debezium.
• Drive platformstandardization, automation, and self-service enablement.
