Job Description

Role: Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer

Shift: Monday to Friday Days (8-4)

Salary: Up to £46,350 (with lots of O.T. opportunities)

Our client operates a large safety-critical manufacturing facility. With a strong turnover in the hundreds of millions, they manufacture specialised products for key industry players in FMCG. Our client has a solid maintenance function with a supportive environment, and they are currently looking for another motivated Maintenance Engineer to add to their team! Our client has a clear, structured plan to invest millions in training for you, upgrading their equipment, facilities and to make way for Continuous Improvement projects!

The Role

As an Instrumentation Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Testing, calibrating and maintaining various temperature transmitters, flow sensors, level switches etc.
  • Create and update P&IDs
  • Working collaboratively with the controls department to ensure smooth PLC automation
  • Designing and installing new automation hardware for plant upgrades

About You

The ideal Instrumentation Engineer will have the following:

  • A recognised engineering qualification
  • Experience working with a maintenance engineering team
  • A sound understanding of key instrumentation/electrical components and fault finding techniques
  • Previous COMAH experience is beneficial, though not essential
