Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team based in Huntingwood, NSW.
Hybrid working arrangement: Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the office, remainder of the week working from home.
Responsibilities- Lead the incident response analysis (CSIRT) and vulnerability analysis in a global environment.
- Deploy, configure, and leverage SIEM for security use cases.
- Manage cyber security incidents and conduct client triage and forensic analyses of cyber attacks.
- Participate in the Cyber Security on call schedule to ensure security worldwide for the KION Group.
- Write programs/scripts using Java, Python, and other languages.
- Use SOAR products for automation of security incidents and develop case/playbook for an automated SOC operation.
- Apply Big Data Analysis and Machine Learning to develop group specific use cases at the current security level.
- Develop and integrate security detection methods for cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, and GCP to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate log correlations/aggregations and log analysis results.
- Analyze and apply information security, risk management, and privacy practices.
- Liaise with internal departments on projects and tasks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related IT field, preferably with a focus on cyber security.
- Advanced programming knowledge in Python and Java.
- Experience with SOAR products (preferred).
- Experience with SIEM tools (essential).
- Solid knowledge in IT security (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, forensic analysis, and threat hunting).
- Flexibility to participate in on call and after hour meetings on a regular basis.
- Strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of security classification frameworks such as MITRE or the cyber attack kill chain.
- Demonstrated decision making and workload management skills.
- Enjoyment of working with a dynamic and international team with short decision paths.
- Ability to travel when required (including international).
