The Position:
Client: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Department Of Health (DOH)
Position Title: DOH - Project Manager (EHR) PJM4 (810424)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Harrisburg, PA

Note:  The position is hybrid; with 2 days/week on-site.  Candidates must currently reside within Pennsylvania and within a reasonable commuting distance of Harrisburg, PA.

The primary objective of this engagement is to serve as the Project Manager for the Bureau of Community Health Systems (BCHS), leading the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for BCHS, the Bureau of Immunizations (BOI), and the Bureau of Communicable Diseases (BCD).  The Project Manager is a ''senior'' level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in EHRs, health informatics, and health IT.  The Project Manager will have proven experience leading large-scale projects to successful implementation and experience with planning around Organizational Change Management (OCM).

The successful candidate will have experience with the implementation of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system where the customer was employing a paper-based charting system.  The PM’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish. The PM must ensure that the project is completed on schedule, within the defined budget and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.

The Skills and Experience:
- Experience managing the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, and transitioning from system implementation to program operations and maintenance
- Experience leading, planning, executing, and monitoring all project activities for and EHR implementation including project planning and execution, and governance
- Experience delivering work tasks identified in the Project Management Plan and Project Schedule
- 5+ Years: Active PMP Certification from PMI
- 7+ Years: Experience managing technical initiatives with a complement of project team members throughout the various IT areas, technical complexity, and vendor involvement
- Familiarity and experience with programs and issues related to public health
- Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM)
