Low Latency Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Low Latency Network Engineer for a 100% Remote, 6+ Month Contract opportunity supporting a global trading infrastructure environment.
Ideal Candidate:
As a Low Latency Network Engineer, you will design, deploy, and support ultra-low latency network infrastructure across global data centers and colocation facilities. You will manage network performance, connectivity, capacity, and availability while optimizing routing and switching for electronic trading, market data, and direct market access (DMA) systems. The role also includes exchange and broker connectivity, network automation, troubleshooting, and delivering high-performance, mission-critical infrastructure projects.

• Financial services, hedge fund, prop trading, investment bank, exchange, or market maker experience
• Designed and supported low-latency trading networks
• Experience connecting to exchanges such as NYSE, NASDAQ, CME, ICE, CBOE, etc.
• Deep Cisco Nexus expertise
• Experience with market data distribution and order execution systems
• Understanding of trade lifecycle and exchange connectivity
• Python or automation experience
• Experience leading infrastructure projects globally.

This is not a traditional Network Engineer role. The client is looking for a Senior Low Latency Network Engineer with Capital Markets / Electronic Trading experience who understands both:
