About the Job- We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, Java, SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, QA methodologies along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester / QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL, data validation, and UI test automation using Playwright and Selenium.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and developing automated testing solutions across web and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL pipelines, data warehouses.
• Perform source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, transformation testing, and data quality checks.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, joins, aggregations, and business rules.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data across staging, warehouse, and downstream reporting systems.
• Automate repetitive ETL and data validation processes.
• Perform API testing and validate API responses and backend data.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to troubleshoot data and application issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, defect triage, and release activities.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

 

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong database testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience developing automation scripts using Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping and data reconciliation.
• Experience with database validation, stored procedures, views, and complex queries.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools.
