Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) Functional Consultant
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
Engagement: Contract
Travel: Travel to East Coast client locations as required; approved travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC) Functional Consultant to support implementation, configuration, and business process transformation initiatives.
The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, field operations teams, dispatch teams, and technical resources to understand requirements and configure Oracle Field Service Cloud to support scheduling, routing, workforce management, and field service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business requirements gathering and functional workshops for Oracle Field Service Cloud.
- Understand current field service processes and translate requirements into OFSC solutions.
- Configure OFSC functionality including:
- Activity types
- Work zones
- Work skills
- Resource calendars
- Capacity management
- Routing and scheduling
- Quota management
- Resource management
- User and visibility configurations
- Support optimization of technician scheduling, dispatching, routing, and workforce utilization.
- Define business rules and workflows within Oracle Field Service.
- Work with business and technical teams on integrations with CRM, ERP, inventory, order management, and other enterprise applications.
- Support mobile workforce requirements and technician user experience.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, process flows, and test scenarios.
- Lead/support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and production readiness.
- Conduct solution demonstrations and user training.
- Provide post-go-live support and assist with process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC / Oracle Field Service).
- Experience with end-to-end OFSC implementations or major enhancement projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Scheduling and routing
- Dispatch operations
- Capacity and quota management
- Resource management
- Work skills and work zones
- Activity management
- Mobile workforce processes
- Strong understanding of field service business processes.
- Experience working directly with business users and operational stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into OFSC configurations.
- Experience with functional testing, UAT, and production support.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating Oracle Field Service with Oracle Fusion Cloud, CRM, Order Management, Service, or third-party systems.
- Exposure to REST APIs and integration concepts is preferred but development experience is not required.
- Experience in utilities, telecom, manufacturing, healthcare, or other field-service-intensive industries is a plus.
Work & Travel
The consultant should be able to work from San Jose, CA and travel to East Coast client locations as required and reimbursed.
