Job Description

On behalf of our Client, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join their project team on a new energy infrastructure scheme in Orkney, Scotland. Following a strong pipeline of recent project awards and an expanding portfolio, this is an exciting time to come on board and play a key role in delivering major civil engineering works that will help shape Scotland’s renewable energy future. responsibilities:

Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards<br />Supervision of assistant engineers<br />Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works<br />Provide accurate and clear setting out for works<br />Communicate with foremen and gangers to ensure a full understanding of the information provided<br />Arrange a formal check of the setting out<br />Complete inspection and test plans<br />Keep an accurate daily site diary<br />Preparation of 4 weekly programmes<br />Provide accurate measurements for materials required<br />Maintain material reconciliation figures for reporting<br />Ensure that material delivery tickets are passed on for cost coding<br />Carry out testing/sampling of materials<br />Assist the measurement department<br />Maintain survey books<br />Take receipt of materials and perform checks<br />Requirements - essential: Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent NVQ Level<br />CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager<br />SSSTSRequirements - desireable: Successful experience as an assistant engineer level<br />Working towards achieving ICE Technician or Incorporated (preferred) level or equivalent<br />Earthworks experience Employment
