As a Security Awareness & Analytics Specialist, you will work closely with the AssociateDirectorCyber Culture & Capability, Security Operations Centre (SOC), Threat Intelligence team, and key partners across Optus. Your goal is to improve cyber, physical, and protective security culture using data-driven insights, targeted actions, and meaningful capability building throughout theorganisation.
WhatYou'llDo- Own and coordinate the enterprise security awareness platform, including training campaigns, phishing simulations, real-time mentoring capabilities, user management, and platformoptimisation.
- Build, complete, andanalysephishing, vishing, and smishing simulation campaigns toidentifybehaviouraltrends and drive targeted remediation activities.
- Apply data,analyticsand security telemetry to develop meaningful human risk insights,dashboardsand reporting that support leadership decision-making and governance outcomes.
- Partnerwith SOC and Threat Intelligence teams toidentifyemerging attack campaigns and translate threat intelligence intotimely, people-focused awareness interventions.
- Develop andmaintainhuman risk registers,behaviouralriskmodelsand reporting frameworks to helpprioritisesecurity risks across the workforce.
- Contribute to awareness andcapabilityroadmaps, helping build security culture initiatives across cyber security, physicalsecurityand broader risk awareness programs.
- Support post-incident reviews byidentifyinghuman factors and translating lessons learned into practical awareness andbehaviouralchange initiatives.
- Collaborate with Security, Risk,HRand Communications teams to ensure awareness campaigns are relevant,impactfuland aligned to business priorities.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, security-mindeddecision-makingand proactive risk management across Optus.
- Relevant experience in cyber security, security awareness, IT operations, human risk management, ora relatedtechnical field.
- Hands-on experience coordinating enterprise security awareness platforms and managing awareness campaigns within a large or complexorganisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build, complete, andanalysephishing simulations and translate findings into targeted actions and measurable outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building dashboards, reportingframeworksand risk metrics that drive business decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with security operations, threat intelligence, and security telemetry data to detect and addressbehaviouralrisk trends.
- Excellent communication and collaborator engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business insights.
- Strongorganisationalskills and the ability toprioritisevarious tasks across platform operations, awarenesscampaignsand analytics activities.
- Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology, DataAnalyticsor a related field, with industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP or CISM highly regarded.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, threat intelligence feeds,behaviouranalyticanalytics or human risk quantification tools will be highly regarded.
