Description

As a Senior Electronics Technician VI at SAIC, you will play a pivotal leadership role, leveraging your extensive experience in electrical and mechanical systems, electronics maintenance, and integration. You will support advanced DoD or federal government programs, focusing on mission-critical systems such as embedded electronics warfare (EEW), radio frequency (RF) systems, communications equipment, and sensor technologies. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of test and evaluation processes, exceptional diagnostic skills, and hands-on experience in complex, field-deployed environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced electronic systems including radios, satellite communication systems, and sensor arrays.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams in operational environments and provide small-unit leadership.
  • Manage and execute test and evaluation (DT/OT) activities for complex mission systems.
  • Serve as a liaison with peers, stakeholders, and customers, clearly communicating complex technical issues.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators) to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Document and report technical findings and maintain records of system diagnostics and repair activities.


Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:
  • A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting electronic systems, integration, and testing.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both field operations and laboratory/test environments.
  • Experience in operational and deployed environments, including shipboard or aviation systems.
  • Proficiency with operating and repairing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) such as small fixed-wing and multi-rotor drones.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and data collection skills.


Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary technical education or training is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications in RF systems, soldering, or UAS operation.
  • Ability to obtain Class B CDL.
