Public Health Data Analyst with Security Clearance

Public Health Data Analyst Remote Blu Omega is seeking a Public Health Data Analyst to support the CDC's National Neurological Conditions Surveillance System (NNCSS). This role is responsible for analyzing healthcare claims and population-based datasets to support neurological disease surveillance and public health research. Program Overview Support CDC's mission to improve population health through neurological condition surveillance and data analysis.

Key Details Location: Remote Clearance / Suitability: Public Trust required Responsibilities Evaluate population-based healthcare datasets and identify strengths and limitations Develop and apply neurological condition case definitions Develop, test, and refine deduplication and statistical weighting methods Conduct prevalence, incidence, mortality, subgroup, sensitivity, and longitudinal analyses Validate findings, perform quality control, and rerun analyses as necessary Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources Document reproducible analytical methods and results Produce accurate tables, figures, maps, and statistical summaries Provide statistical consultation and contribute to scientific publications, reports, and project meetings Communicate findings and recommendations to project stakeholders Required Qualifications Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Epidemiology 3+ years of applicable professional experience Experience analyzing large healthcare claims-based datasets Hands-on Databricks experience Proficiency with R, Python, and SAS Experience with population-based data analysis and statistical weighting Experience conducting subgroup and longitudinal analyses Strong statistical quality control and validation skills Ability to document reproducible analytical methods Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to meet Public Trust requirements Compensation Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance Blu Omega Benefits & Perks Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage through national providers 401(k) with company match (eligible after 6 months; vesting applies) Company-paid Life and AD&D insurance with additional voluntary options Short-term disability (company-paid) and long-term disability options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with 24/7 confidential support and mental health resources Telehealth and virtual care options available through medical plans Pet insurance, legal services, and identity theft protection options Paid Time Off (PTO) for eligible employees Paid federal holidays for salaried employees Access to wellness programs, discounts, and lifestyle benefits Company Overview Blu Omega is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) delivering technology and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies and enterprise clients nationwide.
