Legal Operations Lead

A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Legal Operations Lead to support the continued evolution of its legal function. This individual will work closely with senior legal leadership to drive operational efficiency, implement scalable processes, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the department in a dynamic, business-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward-looking legal operations strategy aligned with broader business priorities
• Partner closely with the General Counsel and legal leadership to streamline workflows and improve day-to-day efficiency
• Oversee and optimize legal technology platforms, including CLM, eBilling, and matter management systems
• Manage outside counsel relationships, including vendor selection, performance tracking, and cost control initiatives
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the legal department
• Establish and track KPIs and metrics to support data-driven decision-making
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the function
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as finance, procurement, and compliance

Qualifications

• 7-12+ years of experience in legal operations, legal strategy, or a related function
• Experience supporting an in-house legal team, ideally within a manufacturing or regulated environment
• Strong familiarity with legal technology tools and systems (CLM, eBilling, matter management, etc.)
• Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and managing cross-functional initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels
