Job Summary – Sr. Accessibility Engineer

- Apply deep expertise in digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and guidelines to ensure inclusive digital experiences.
- Design and develop accessible customer-facing DigiCare platforms, including web portals, mobile apps, chatbots, and care applications.
- Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses for web and mobile applications.
- Utilize and support screen reader and assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack) for diverse user needs.
- Develop using semantic HTML, accessible CSS, and JavaScript for inclusive user interfaces.
- Validate accessibility for forms, navigation, error handling, notifications, and telecom transactional journeys.
- Employ accessibility testing tools (Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, ARC Toolkit, Accessibility Insights) for compliance.
- Integrate accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines and Agile workflows.
- Ensure mobile accessibility compliance for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Leverage accessible design systems, component libraries, and reusable UI patterns.
- Understand and improve accessibility in prepaid telecom customer journeys (e.g., recharge, balance inquiry, offers).
- Support omni-channel DigiCare platforms, including web, mobile, chatbot, IVR, and care portals.
- Address accessibility needs for multilingual, low-literacy, and assisted care user groups.
- Apply usability and inclusive design principles to high-volume consumer digital platforms.
- Collaborate with development, UX, and QA teams to identify and remediate accessibility defects.
- Document accessibility standards, defects, remediation guidance, and compliance reports.
- Operate within Agile/Scrum models in enterprise telecom settings.
- Maintain awareness of telecom data privacy, security, and regulatory implications on accessibility.
- Communicate and advocate accessibility best practices to cross-functional technical and product teams.
