Job Description

Role : Mainframe Analyst
Location: Trenton, NJ 08625 – Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Duration: 5+ Months Contract
Location Requirement: Local candidates only
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Analyst to analyze, maintain, and enhance existing mainframe applications while extracting and documenting business rules. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of strong COBOL, CICS, and DB2 experience, along with hands-on experience with JCL, DB2 Stored Procedures, and MQ programming.
 
Required Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent technical education.
  • 8+ years of experience with:
    • COBOL/CICS/DB2 coding, testing, and debugging
    • IBM Mainframe / MVS / OS
    • JCL
    • CICS
    • IBM DB2
    • Technical and supporting documentation
    • System and usability testing
  • Strong experience developing complex DB2 Stored Procedures.
  • Experience with MQ or APPC/LU 6.2 programming in COBOL/CICS environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
