Senior Python Software Developer – Financial Forecasting Applications

Seeking a Senior Python Developer to modernize and enhance an enterprise financial forecasting platform supporting long-term projections and financial reporting.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of production-grade Python development with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with an advanced degree
• Strong software development experience—not primarily Python scripting
• Git version control
• SQL and relational databases
• Pandas
• Unit testing with Pytest or similar frameworks
• Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Shell scripting
• Agile development experience

Domain Skills

• Financial forecasting or financial accounting applications
• Fixed-income concepts: duration, convexity, spread, and OAS
• Production-run support and troubleshooting
• Performance optimization, refactoring, and technical-debt reduction

Preferred

• GAAP accounting knowledge
• FP&A experience
• CFA, FRM, or CPA progress
• Quantitative graduate degree
• JIRA and stakeholder-management experience
