JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly experienced Wi-Fi Architect with 15+ years of experience in Wi-Fi technologies, IEEE 802.11 standards, Linux networking, Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) EasyMesh, and RDK-B. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Wi-Fi user-space components, Linux kernel networking, Wi-Fi driver development, interoperability testing, WFA certification, and broadband operator deployments.

The candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end EasyMesh development, architecture, certification, interoperability, operator adoption, and engineering best practices within the RDK-B ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end EasyMesh development within the RDK-B framework, including architecture, implementation, interoperability, testing, and operator deployment.

Participate actively in the RDK-B EasyMesh Working Group and collaborate with industry stakeholders to develop and commercialize RDK-B EasyMesh solutions.

Drive Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) EasyMesh certification programs, including test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and resolution of certification failures.

Lead interoperability testing with third-party EasyMesh controllers such as Airties and validate solutions against operator-specific deployment requirements.

Work directly with cable and broadband operators to understand feature requirements, address field issues, and align product roadmaps.

Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, code quality processes, and CI/CD practices across the engineering team.

Provide technical direction on Wi-Fi architecture, Linux networking, Wi-Fi drivers, and EasyMesh implementations.

Collaborate with engineering, testing, product, and operator teams to deliver reliable and scalable Wi-Fi solutions.

Troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi, networking, interoperability, and certification issues across development and production environments.

REQUIRED SKILLS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of overall experience in Wi-Fi, wireless networking, embedded systems, or related technologies.

Deep expertise in IEEE 802.11 standards and Wi-Fi architecture.

Strong hands-on experience with WFA EasyMesh and Wi-Fi interoperability.

Strong Linux kernel and Wi-Fi driver development experience.

Strong programming experience in C and C++.

Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi user-space tools including wpa_supplicant, hostapd, iw, and nl80211.

Experience with RDK-B is highly preferred.

Experience with WFA certification tools and certification processes.

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, 802.1X/EAP, and network troubleshooting.

Experience working with broadband, cable, or telecom operators is highly preferred.

Strong communication and technical leadership skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

RDK-B EasyMesh development and deployment.

Wi-Fi Alliance EasyMesh certification.

Third-party EasyMesh controller interoperability, including Airties.

Operator-specific Wi-Fi deployment and field troubleshooting.

CI/CD, software quality standards, and engineering best practices.
