Overview

This Senior Project Manager role focuses on leading the feasibility assessment and business case development for the potential transfer of a MasterTrust business from a major UK life insurance entity to a subsidiary wealth management company. You will coordinate the assessment of strategic, financial, regulatory, operational, customer, capital, and technology implications, creating robust recommendations for Executive and Board consideration. This position is focused on evaluation and decision support rather than the direct delivery of the transfer itself.

Responsibilities

• Lead the feasibility assessment and business case development for the transfer of a MasterTrust business between legal entities.
• Coordinate the assessment of strategic, financial, regulatory, operational, customer, capital, and technology implications of the transfer.
• Develop a robust recommendation and business case for presentation to the Executive team and Board.
• Focus on evaluation and decision support to guide the project's direction.
• Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, including management of scope, budget, and resources.
• Proactively manage RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies) to ensure project stability.
• Establish and maintain appropriate governance and controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure transparent and timely reporting to stakeholders while facilitating effective collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver agreed outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience Required

• Hold a relevant project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or PMI) or possess equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with legal entity restructuring, portfolio transfers, pensions funds or corporate transactions
• Experience delivering change projects within Finance environment or equivalent regulated environment
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to hold honest conversations about performance.
• Proven ability to produce clear status reporting and facilitate effective decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver successful outcomes.
• Strong capability in managing project dependencies and addressing change impacts.
• Expertise in building and maintaining comprehensive project plans.
• Proven competence in managing scope, budget, resources, and RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies).
• Ability to establish and maintain appropriate governance and controls throughout the project lifecycle.
