Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer Swansea 2 days per week in the office Up to £70,000 (plus 20% bonus and 10% pension) Are you a Senior Data Engineer who wants to be trained in Fabric and Azure? I’m helping a Swansea based client to scale up the data team with a Senior Engineer.

About the role:

They have an established data warehouse platform that is off premise, built in SSIS, SSRS and T-SQL but are migrating to Fabric and Azure. Full training in Fabric and Azure is offered. The role is split 70% developing/building and 30% supporting/maintaining what you have built so you can have full ownership. Documentation and knowledge sharing is a huge part of the role This is a small team of 5 at present; the Team Lead, 2 senior engineers and 2 mid-level engineers so this will be the 6th hire. They have another data team of 30 in the wider business. This is a hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in the Swansea office.

About you:

You will be an experienced data engineer who is proficient in SSIS, SSRS and SQL. Experience of Fabric and Azure would be beneficial but full training is provided if you have no prior experience of this tech stack. You write clear documentation and you have successfully optimised data warehouse platforms for better performance in your current or past role(s).
