BEHAVIORAL SCIENTIST_ Remote

Job Description
1. Consulting & Integration:
• Apply behavioral science principles to enhance how we deliver holistic advice and guidance to Edward Jones clients.
• Guide senior leaders in setting the strategic direction and vision for key areas.
• Consult with business areas to develop effective solutions, using behavioral insights to influence decision-making and improve behaviors across the firm.
• Collaborate across various functions within the Experience Center of Expertise, Enterprise Design, and other shared services teams. 2. Research & Experimentation:
• Design and consult on research methodologies to address firm-wide business issues, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Lead and advocate for experimentation as a key business process, providing guidance on the design of experimental interventions to drive data-based decision-making.
• Partner with external vendors and academic institutions to execute research projects and ensure that the latest advancements in behavioral science are effectively applied to firm strategies. 3. Design Expertise and Leadership:
• Support the strategy creation and execution of Enterprise Design, providing thought leadership to better serve clients and align with business objectives.
• Integrate with and, where appropriate, lead cross-disciplinary design teams to address complex business questions, incorporating behavioral science principles into design initiatives.
• Utilize expertise in digital product design, knowledge of common UX practices and ways of working, and experience applying behavioral insights to optimize for key user behaviors. 4. Communication & Influence:
• Represent complex data and behavioral science concepts in a clear, accessible way for various audiences, including senior leadership and associates.
• Build understanding of behavioral science principles with other groups within the firm, enhancing their behavioral science acumen.
Education: | • Master’s degree in a relevant social science field (e.g., psychology, organizational behavior, behavioral finance, economics) or equivalent work experience • Doctorate preferred. | ||
Skills: | • Strong problem-solving abilities to address broad and complex business challenges. • Ability to independently drive decisions regarding research methodologies, project prioritization, and strategic direction. • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience. • Strong knowledge of behavioral science, psychology, behavioral economics, or related fields. • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative and entrepreneurial approach to projects. • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, lead large-scale initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Expertise in research design and methodology. • Experience working with senior leaders and guiding them in the integration of behavioral insights into key business initiatives. | ||
