Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Specialist to support enforcement actions against licensed healthcare facilities and Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs). The role involves legal research, regulatory analysis, and litigation at the Office of Administrative Law in New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and prepare enforcement actions against licensed healthcare facilities and CNAs under federal Medicare/Medicaid conditions of participation and NJ licensure requirements
- Investigate and evaluate allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of resident property by nurse aides
- Litigate cases at the Office of Administrative Law concerning revocation of nurse aide certificates
- Serve as a member of the Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) Panel
- Assist in drafting Independent Informal Dispute Resolution (IIDR) recommendations
Required Skills
- Legal research, analysis, and evaluation of legal documents, rules, regulations, and/or legislation
- Knowledge of NJ healthcare licensure and Medicare/Medicaid regulatory frameworks
- Administrative law and litigation experience
- Proficiency in MS 365 Suite and Microsoft Dynamics
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in government agency regulatory review
- Familiarity with CNA certification and healthcare facility compliance
Location & Work Model
Fully onsite — 120 South Stockton Street, Trenton, NJ 08625. Work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch). Valid NJ driver's license may be required.

Education & Licensure Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Must be eligible to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in New Jersey
- Must possess a current Certificate of Good Standing from the NJ Board of Bar Examiners, or equivalent license from any U.S. state
