ServiceNow Developer (Contract) Back Office Training Catalog Application

Position Overview
This is a backfill opportunity supporting a back-office team that manages internal technology training. The group works with external training vendors and oversees the end-to-end training process, including class registration, approvals, payments, and internal employee training management.
The current process involves significant manual effort and back-and-forth communication. The team is rebuilding and modernizing an existing ServiceNow application that supports the training catalog and request process. The new solution will be a custom application built within ServiceNow, featuring enhanced workflows, automation, business logic, and integrations.
The project is already in Sprint 1, and the foundational application framework will be established before this resource joins the team. Initial work will focus heavily on form development, business logic, workflows, notifications, and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance a custom ServiceNow application supporting internal technology training operations.
- Build and maintain forms, workflows, business logic, and automation.
- Configure backend components including tables, ACLs, and application architecture.
- Create dynamic and conditional form experiences.
- Develop notifications and workflow automation using Flow Designer.
- Support integrations with DocuSign and Workday.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and team members in an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot issues and recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 2 5 years of ServiceNow development experience.
- Experience with App Engine Studio (AES).
- Experience building and managing ServiceNow Catalog items using Catalog Builder.
- Experience with Flow Designer.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow application development, including:
- Custom tables
- ACLs
- Forms
- Business logic
- Workflows
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile team environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow Workspaces.
- Experience with AI capabilities and ServiceNow SDKs/APIs (training can be provided).
- Customer Service Management (CSM) module experience.
- JavaScript development experience.
