Job Description

About the Client

Our client is a major national construction contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex projects across Australia. They combine established industry standing with a genuinely well-run internal IT function, backed by clear processes and a supportive, hands on management style. It's an organisation where the scope of the work is well defined and the path to getting it done has already been mapped out.

About the Role

This is a hands on opportunity to support a Cloud Document Management migration, moving data from on-premise servers into Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, with archived material transferred through to Azure Archive Tier. You'll work through a well documented, repeatable process rather than building one from scratch, running and adjusting pre built migration scripts and coordinating directly with business stakeholders to schedule and communicate each cutover. It's a role suited to someone who wants structured, meaningful technical experience without the ambiguity of an undefined project.

Duties
  • Engage with business stakeholders to identify, assess and prepare data for migration.
  • Create and configure Microsoft Teams and SharePoint sites in line with a national naming convention.
  • Execute file and data migrations from on premise servers to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Azure Archive Tier.
  • Validate migrated data and liaise with stakeholders to schedule and communicate cutovers.
  • Maintain migration documentation and support the decommissioning of legacy Windows servers.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory
  • 2+ years' experience in an IT Support, Systems Administration or Cloud Migration role.
  • Certificate IV, Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Basic PowerShell skills, with the confidence to adjust pre built scripts rather than write new ones.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills, with a genuine commitment to data integrity.
  • Available to work five days a week on site in Melbourne for the full two-month term.

If this sounds like the right next step, we'd love to hear from you.
